I tried to keep my cool after Hazel and I returned to our seats, but she just kept smiling at me. After an encounter like that, it was hard for me to keep a straight face too. Hazel was everything that I dreamed she would be. Her skin was softer than I could have imagined. Her body was more perfect than any I had ever seen. Her lips were just the right amount of plumpness, and her blue eyes made my heart skip a beat. Every time she said my name or moaned with pleasure, I felt myself growing more and more attached to her. How was I supposed to return to work and being her boss after that?

“Hazel,” I said, trying to keep my voice low and commanding, “I would appreciate your discretion about anything that may have happened between us this weekend.”

Hazel looked at me a bit surprised, but then nodded her head slowly, as if to absorb the words I just said to her.

“I’m not going to tell anyone, if that’s what you mean,” she said.

“Thank you.”

“If my dad ever heard about anything happening between us, he would absolutely freak out.”

“I don’t want him to find out from anyone, so it is important that it all stay between us,” I said.

“I’m not going to tell a soul,” Hazel reassured me.

“We definitely can’t let anything like that happen again,” I said.

Hazel sunk down into her seat a bit, refusing to look at me. “I know.”

“You are incredibly sexy. And obviously, it’s impossible for me to keep my hands off of you, but you’re my employee first and foremost. And you’re my best friend’s daughter,” I said.

The tone in her voice a bit sharp, she said, “I know all that.”

“I know you do. I just want to make sure you understand that the stakes are high here.”

“I know that, too. Don’t you think I’m worried about how people would react if they found out I hooked up with my boss?” she asked.

I hadn’t really thought about it from her perspective, but she was absolutely right.

“So, we’re in agreement, then? No one finds out. And it never happens again,” I said, though I wanted more than anything in the world for it to happen again and again.

“Agreed,” Hazel said, sticking out her hand to shake mine.

When my skin met hers, it took all of my strength not to pull her onto my lap again, but I barely restrained myself.

The following week at work, I tried my best to keep to myself and avoid seeing Hazel. I also tried to avoid Harry as much as possible, but he was much harder to dodge. He came into my office almost every afternoon, and even when I told Erin not to let him in, he still found a way to track me down in the halls or outside the building.
